Privacy
How we handle information from the plugin, your licence, and this website.
1. Introduction
Webstuffguy Labs (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information related to your use of the Submittal & Spec Sheet Builder plugin and our associated website.
By using our plugin or website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our products and services.
a. Information You Provide
- When you purchase a license, we collect your name, email address, billing information, and license key details.
- When you contact us for support, we may collect technical details such as your WordPress version, PHP version, and plugin configuration to help resolve issues.
b. Automatically Collected Data
- Our website and plugin may collect non-personal usage data, such as:
- WordPress version
- Plugin version
- Site URL (for license validation only)
- General usage statistics (e.g., activation count)
This data helps ensure license compliance and guide future improvements.
c. Cookies, Analytics and This Website
This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and carries no tracking pixels or advertising scripts. We do not build a profile of you from your visit.
The only third-party script on the site is Cloudflare Turnstile, and it loads on the contact page only. Section 7 describes it.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes request data — including your IP address — in order to serve the pages and to protect the site against abuse. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie as part of that protection. This is infrastructure, not analytics, and we do not receive a report of who visited.
When you send the contact form, the message is delivered to us by email through Resend, our email provider. It is not stored on the website, and there is no database behind these pages.
Cookies are not used to track users within the plugin itself.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Process and manage license activations and renewals.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Improve plugin performance and identify potential issues.
- Send important account or update notices (e.g., new versions, security fixes).
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls.
If you purchase through a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce), your payment details are handled securely by those services — we never store full credit card data on our servers.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to:
- Maintain your active license and support history.
- Comply with legal and financial obligations.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@webstuffguylabs.com.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access and request a copy of your personal data.
- Correct or delete inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@webstuffguylabs.com.
7. Third-Party Services
Our website or plugin may link to external services (such as payment gateways or documentation platforms).
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party websites.
Cloudflare Turnstile. Our contact page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is being filled in by a person rather than a bot. It runs in the background, does not ask you to identify photographs, and is not an advertising or analytics product. Cloudflare receives your IP address and some browser characteristics in order to make that assessment. No other page on this site loads it.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our products and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons.
The revised version will always be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
